What Women BuildJune has been a month of talking with women about what matters to them, looking at what it truly means to care for ourselves, and expansion for GlowInto. Beginning in July, GlowInto will be featured in EdGlen Living Magazine, the sister publication to O’fallon Area Living Magazine. In this space I hope to reach more viewership by showcasing women living in the Collinsville, Maryrviille, Glen Carbon and Edwardsville areas. This month on GlowInto, I’m highlighting women who aren't waiting for the "perfect" time to begin. They're building businesses, creating art, strengthening their bodies, caring for others, and redefining what life can look like after 40. I'll introduce you to artist Alexis Frazier of Lipstick Lex Art, whose vibrant work reflects both beauty and resilience. After visiting Alexis in Sarasota, FL and seeing her artwork in person, I left inspired not only by what she creates, but by the courage it takes to trust your creative voice and build a life around it. We'll also hear from contributing writers Doreen Warfield of Studio Strong and Karlyn Slaydon of KS Signature, each sharing their own personal stoires. This month we also welcome Jamie Petty of Massage by Jamie to the GlowInto community. Jamie's work reminds us that self-care doesn't always look like bubble baths and spa days. Sometimes it's making time to heal, to rest, or simply to reconnect with yourself. That idea of self-care became a theme throughout June. An upcoming GlowInto feature explores what self-care really means to women in different seasons of life. For some, it's movement. For others, it's boundaries, creativity, friendship, or finally putting themselves on the list. As summer arrives, Amanda Swaim will also share practical tips in Style That Evolves, including why diligent sunscreen use is one of the most important forms of self-care and some favorite products worth trying. You'll also hear from Cheri Wuertz of My Two Cents of Style as she shares her experience bringing permanent jewelry to her business and why these pieces are an easy way to keep accessories in your wardrobe without effort. Inside the Workplace returns with Felicia Ford, offering thoughtful guidance for navigating professional life, while Malette Johnson focuses on financial health and the importance of building an emergency fund. Her message is an important one: it is never too late to begin preparing for your future. On a personal note, I'll continue sharing my own health journey as I work toward improving my diet, and focusing on my metabolic health with help from Premier U. Progress isn't always linear, but showing up consistently matters. At the end of May, many of us gathered for The M Factor 2 event, and the story is now live on GlowInto. The conversations that began that evening continue to remind me how powerful it is when women come together to share experiences and learn from one another. I carried those thoughts with me on a recent trip to Florida, where I explored Clearwater, Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota. Along the way, I met women in their 70s and beyond who were active, social, curious, and deeply engaged in life. They changed the way I think about longevity. Longevity isn't simply about adding years to your life. It's about building a life you want to keep showing up for. And perhaps that's what all of these stories have in common. Women building strength.
